    About Erica

    Erica Julson

    Hi! I'm Erica!

Food & wellness lover, cooking enthusiast, and registered dietitian nutritionist.

My mission is to help you reclaim the joy of cooking at home by providing you with jaw-droppingly delicious recipes you'll want to make again and again.

Around here, we're all about celebrating cooking.

If you're new to the cooking arena, unfamiliar foods can seem intimidating at first! (kabocha squash?? chia seeds?? beet greens??)

But with the recipes on this website, you'll soon be cooking wholesome, delicious meals for you and your family, and feeling FABULOUS about it.

    Why is cooking so great?

    Cooking is grounding.

It encourages you to be in the present moment, fully aware of the smells, sensations, and processes involved in food preparation.

It is during these meditative moments that the body and mind start to relax and allow you to release the stresses of the day.

By giving yourself this time each day, you are doing several things:

Taking back your independence and the ability to feed yourself & proclaiming that you (body, mind, and soul) are worth it.

I'll say it again. You are worth it!

You are worth the time it takes to shop for groceries each week.

You are worth the effort it takes to prepare nourishing food at home.

You are worthy of feeling your best.

    Cooking is worth it.

Why is this important to me?

For as long as I can remember, I have lived and breathed two things: good books & good food. (Yep, this was a childhood favorite.)

What do these two things have in common? They feed the soul.

In today's fast-paced society, it is so easy to get caught up in the whirlwind of life and forget about the simple things.

    The slow things.

The things that make us feel happy, whole, and vibrant.

While many of these things are unique to each individual, wholesome food is a key component of health and vitality for everyone.

    Ready to get started?

Check back each week for new blog posts and recipes, all about cooking at home!

You can also follow me on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) so you don't miss a recipe.
